Kitchen Aid is known as a premium line of products from Whirlpool so expect superior quality as well as the best features available. For instance, the doors are lighter weight than my prior Maytag 30" double oven that this is replacing, leading me to believe they are inferior, less steel, lighter guage metal, etc. The biggest dissatisfaction is the lack of features. My Maytag double oven had a "toast" option that was perfect for reheating things like pizza and it isn't present on this more expensive premium brand product line. I can say that this unit is more attractive in design with flatter back full of digital controls. The pressure needed to activate each function seems a little excessive and concerns me about longevity of the touch controls. I do like the flat top and the markings that outline the 3 burner sizes helps match pans with setting as well placement for optimal cooking. One feature is has is convection, however, there is no guide on how it works or how to use it and when baking what things. Because of this, it goes unused until I can research how to use it. Overall, I am satisfied and trust the brand as I have several other Kitchen Aid appliances that I do love and have lasted forever so the brand stands the test of time. Others I know have had lesser brands go bad in just a few years so that speaks volumes for the quality aspect of the product.

Great oven! Would buy this again!

I would purchase this product again. I like the smaller over on top. I use mostly. I wish the racks were situated a little differently. The lowest setting is too close to the bottom you can't slide it out with burning your fingers on the door and the next setting up puts some things to close to the top so the brown to quickly. I find whether it is in the convectioni end or not this oven heats more evenly and cooks better then other ovens I have had. I wish there were more sliding racks as I do love that feature.

Cooktop is a huge let down

This oven is such a let down. Avoid at all cost. First, we had to do a warranty repair immediately due to the rubber seal around the cooktop. It was melting and degrading. They replaced the cooktop. The brand new cooktop also has problems with the rubber seal! It looks terrible and now we™€™re stuck with it. Next, it™€™s not a 4 burner stove. It only has 3 burners! One says ™€œmelt™€ on it. Just give us all 4 burners that all get hot. This is ridiculous. Why would I want a burner that can only get partially hot? I would just set a burner to low. Don™€™t limit the heat of any of the burners. Next, the front right burner is the only one that truly gets hot. The ovens seem fine. But the cooktop is a travesty especially for this price. Nobody wants a burner that doesn™€™t get as hot as you want it to. Apparently the designer of this has never needed to cook dinner for a family. Melt? Do you think we are making fondue? It™€™s very frustrating for this price. Avoid this product and get one with a better cook top. Lastly I™€™m attempting to add images of this issue below and it™€™s not letting me!

Only one burner puts off enough heat, the other three are disappointing at best. Back burners are useless only put off enough heat to melt butter. Oven racks have no backs and have twice lost trays of food down to the next rack. Poor design.

Love the unit! Only 2 downfalls- Seems to take awhile to heat the stoves up and it scratches the glass cooktop easily. Not sure why a high end unit would scratch as easily as it did.

DO NOT PURCHASE ™€" Nothing but trouble

Nothing but trouble. Purchased this item in December 2025 and was delivered in January 2026. Certified technicians have tried to ™€œfix™€ the brand new oven 3 times now to no avail. Neither the top, nor the bottom oven keep their temperature. We have had to continually set the temperature throughout cooking to have the oven heat back up to the set temperature. This happens even when the oven door is not open. Technicians have used their temperature probe to validate the ovens temperature reading and have found a 30 degree inconsistency. Heating elements and the mother board have been replaced. After this, the top oven was taking an extremely long time to pre-heat. Last night, when dinner was 1/4 of the way cooked, the oven completely died, stovetop and all. This oven has been in the home for less than 6months and has been nothing but issue after issue. I now have to wait a week and half for a technician to come out to the house for the 4th time and will not be able to cook anything for the foreseeable future. This is particularly bad timing as my grandmother turns 97 in three days and we don™€™t have a range to bake her a cake or make her a special meal to celebrate the occasion. I have also been told I am unable to return the oven, even though it is under warrantee as it has to be deemed unfixable by a technician. I am beyond frustrated with nearly 6 months of an oven that does not work properly. This should not be happening with a brand new product. I highly recommend you continue your search for a different product and save yourself the frustration.

We bought this 12/2024 the stove is TERRIBLE it is either high heat or no heat. It says 5 burners but you can really only use the front two because of the placement. The left front has 3 size of burner, even if you are using the small it is hot all around the larger size.

Don't Trust Their Promise of $35 Digital Rebate

Like the appliance, however, they sent me an email on 3/27/26, asking that I review this refrigerator and they would give me a $35 digital rebate for the rating. I did it right away and got an email confirmation. Well it has been well over a month since I did the review and still no digital rebate, and not anyone at KitchenAid can help me. Chat doesn't work for this, called phone number and they could not help either as they only handle the appliance rebates. Very poor customer service. I purchased 4 KitchenAid appliances and am very disappointed in their customer service. If I could remove my review, I would, however, that is not possible. They should not ask for customer reviews if they are not going to deliver on their promise of a $35 digital rebate that had to be done by 4/26/26. Also, no email to contact them either. How convenient. Very disappointed and would never recommend their appliances to anyone after this.

Nice but doesn't hold temperature

I bought this oven last year. I replaced a 17 year old GE that didn't hold temperature. This brand new oven doesn't hold temperature. I had an appointment to check it out and they canceled the morning of the appointment. Now I have to wait til the 28th to see if they can fix it. Disappointed in kitchenaid. I also have the refrigerator that seems to be working fine. I won't be buying kitchenaid again.

I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with my KitchenAid double oven range (Model KFED500ESS). As an executive chef, I have used many KitchenAid products throughout my career and have always regarded the brand as a symbol of quality and reliability. Unfortunately, my experience with this appliance has been very frustrating. I purchased this range for my home in December 2024, and just four months after the one-year warranty expired, I began experiencing significant issues. First, the oven no longer heats to the set temperature™€"it consistently runs 25™€“50 degrees below the selected setting, making accurate cooking nearly impossible. In addition, the top-right large electric burner is malfunctioning. When set to low, it remains at full high heat, which is both unsafe and unusable for proper cooking. Attempting to resolve these issues has been equally disappointing. I have called KitchenAid customer service three times, each time remaining on hold for over 30 minutes without reaching a representative. I also tried to schedule service online, but the process requires entering the model and serial number. Unfortunately, there is no visible sticker on my unit with this information, despite checking all recommended locations, including inside the oven door edges™€"only warning labels are present. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. An appliance of this caliber and price point should last for many years without major issues, not fail shortly after the warranty period ends. Equally concerning is the lack of accessible customer support. Based on this experience, I am very disappointed in both the product and the level of service provided. It feels as though customer satisfaction has taken a back seat to profits.

I have had this stove for 3-4 months now. Very nice looking appliance. The burner top is slow to respond and has taken some time to get use to. Either way too hot or not hot enough, definitely had to change my cooking style and be patient. I had to have the oven serviced twice in the first 3 months, make sure you get the warranty directly from the manufacturer when you register™€¦ not from the box store!! The upper oven now works great, the lower oven is very slow and I learned it is intentionally underpowered because of the design. Not horrible but not a bakers oven. Beautiful design but underwhelming performance

Oven with lots of options!

I've been using our kitchen aid double oven for about a month. I love the flexibility that comes with having a double oven and have been surprised by how often I am using both of them! Bending over for the bottom oven isn't my favorite, but it is entirely doable, and you have to bend over with any oven, really. I like the convection bake and convection roast options as well! I do notice that it takes a long time to preheat (15-20 minutes). My previous oven had an exposed element, so I guess that is the price you pay. Now that I know I just budget it into my prep time. The top oven is quite small and I had to start using an oven mitt as it was easy to brush my hand against some part of it when taking out a pan. But again, I love having the double oven flexibility, and sometimes all you need is the one rack! There is also lots of flexibility on the range top. I love the extra large front burner for those extra large frying and sautà pans! I don't like that all three controls for the triple burner are on the same knob. It makes them quite sensitive and I am still learning how to adjust the heat properly for the various pan sizes...but again, the flexibility! And it heats up much hotter than my previous range. I wish the back burners were a little hotter. Of course, the glass cooktop is nice and easy to clean. The control panel is actually fairly intuitive and the on screen instructions helpful (like press 1 for the top oven or 2 for the bottom oven). And overall, the oven looks really nice and is a nice addition to my kitchen.

I really like it except the timer is annoying to use (cant set in 10 second increments like my other ovens) and only has one short beep when time is up. Every other oven I have had over the years it will beep numerous times over and over until you turn it off. its much safer that way should you not hear the first beep

Received my new range yesterday and immediately started having problems. Initially, the lights in the oven wouldn't turn off. Power cycling twice eventually fixed that problem, but this morning I woke up to a relatively loud electrical humming noise. Definitely a bit frustrated that I am already forced to call for service before I even get a chance to cook with it.

I bought this a month ago and use it every day. The oven does take a little longer to reach its temperature but that's ok. The broiler is fast and very hot (don't walk away). Cookies took a little longer than expected but I'm the one who is adjusting. My one disappointed is the glass top. It already has wear and tear even though I've used the correct glass top cleaner.

When my oven died right after Thanksgiving we could have bought something in stock to be delivered right away, but decided to go with what we wanted even though it would take a couple weeks to arrive. Things I am still adjusting to™€¦the front left burner is a triple burner so the controls for all three sizes are on one nob. That means each size has a very small distance in the nob to go from low to high and I am still trying to figure out where I need to have it set for medium/medium high. Think I would prefer only having a double burner there. I am also adjusting to where I need to have my two burner griddle placed on top, this design it seems to work better on the right side burners. I do enjoy having the double oven and the fact the smaller one heats up so quickly. I just need to remember that not all my pans (particularly with lids) can fit in the smaller oven! As I got my new oven shortly before Christmas I was doing a lot of baking and cooking and enjoyed the fact I could have multiple item cooking at different temperatures at the same time. I also appreciate the bread proofing feature, although I™€™m not sure if the ™€œsecond proof™€ option didn™€™t work how I wanted, or if it was baker™€™s error, but next time I™€™m going to try the ™€œfirst proof™€ option for both first and second proof to see if I™€™m happier with the outcome. I was a little annoyed that a user manual did not come with the appliance, but I was able to find it online and print it out so I could reference it more easily as I™€™m trying out new features. All in all I really like it, it™€™s easy to use once you have a quick overview of what buttons to push.

This double over is fabulous! I™€™m able to bake in each oven at the same time! Also, I can use the smaller oven saving energy costs. The one negative thing i can say is the idea of having single, double, and, triple burner is a great idea, but difficult to see the control knob setting. I use a mini flashlight to see the knob setting.

2x purchased and neither worked

Purchased, front burner didn't work, had to uninstall return and pick up and install another one and it didn't work either, had to uninstall again and return and ended up NOT getting another KitchenAid, will never buy anything KitchenAid again.

Double Oven has been excellent

This stove is THE BOMB!!!

Easy to use, easy to clean. It cooks food perfectly. I love the smaller top oven for baking biscuts, rolls, cookies etc. It's also the best at broiling, and anything else that has a lower profile. The lower convection oven is SUPER for literally everything else. We LOVE it Highly Recomend this stove.

We replace a 12 year old kitchenaid range with this one. I was doubtful about the double oven functionality. but turns out that temp in one doesn't affect the temp in the other. This is a very nice range.

Allstate not repairable-new oven 12/6

after 4 attempts and wrong parts sent by Allstate twice. they adv not repairable and issued a settletment for new oven. I bought same oven, deld 12/6-2025. works perfectly. I didn't like any other oven.hopefully this works out better. Still looks like a brand new oven after 3 years.

We replaced another make of double oven range because it seemed to be very inconsistent in its temperature control. It's a little early to rate this range, but it is supposed to have good control features in this area. The oven smoked a lot on first use, which was surprising, but it has settled in now.

This stove has exceeded my expectations! The glass top is easy to clean. The handles are heavy duty, nicely detailed with grips. The racks in both top and bottom ovens are sturdy, with the bottom stove rack having a slide out component which works well with a large roast pan. I love having a top and bottom oven. The fit and finish is outstanding: the blue lining of the ovens, the sturdy racks, the stream lined top and control panel. The control panel is simple and intuitive. The five burner cook top is well thought out, with the front left burner having three sizes to the element. The front right burner is very large snd heats up super-fast, perfect for large soup pots or large fry pans. All surfaces are easy to clean. I™€™ve been wiping/cleaning the top after it cools down and it can go for a day or two without wiping. I™€™m so taken with it that I wipe it down every chance I get, I love it too much! I bought the KitchenAid dishwasher and microwave, also both excellent, and will top it off with the KitchenAid refrigerator, all stainless steel! I™€™m delighted with my purchases!
